I’m Beth Child, Bountiful resident of 25 years, current City Council member, avid walker, and Blacksmith s’mores ice cream lover. I have always been all-in on supporting local events and building relationships in the community, but in the past year, I have been immersed in Bountiful City on a different level. I was appointed to serve on the City Council in 2024 after the tragic loss of a beloved councilman.

Stepping in mid-term has required many hours of study and work to acclimate to city projects already in progress. In the process, I have learned how each city department functions, what it takes to balance the city budgets, and what is important to Bountiful residents. Most importantly, I have prioritized listening to and advocating for members of the Bountiful community.

Now, with this momentum, I am running for City Council in 2025. I have more to contribute to Bountiful. My priorities include economic development, completing and thoughtfully implementing the General Plan, public safety and well-being, growing the fiber network, and working to enhance the unique gem that is Bountiful.
