I am honored to run for Bountiful City Council. For twenty-five years, Bountiful has been my family’s home. Matt and I raised three children here and now delight in being grandparents to three. My life in Bountiful is rooted in service, commitment, and a belief that this community deserves thoughtful leadership.

Raising my family in Bountiful has shaped who I am. From my children’s first days in our local schools, I became deeply involved - volunteering in classrooms, helping with extracurriculars, and supporting teachers. I’ve worked with youth organizations, organized neighborhood events, and helped with city programs. These experiences reinforced to me the power of community and the responsibility we each share in making Bountiful a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family.

Today, I serve on the Bountiful City Council, where I work with colleagues to solve problems and pursue opportunities. One of my responsibilities is working with the Bountiful Community Service Council, helping organize service projects, connecting residents with vital resources, and promoting volunteerism. 

My commitment to the well-being of young people is reflected in my role on the Key Leader Board for Communities that Care, a coalition focused on supporting mental health, preventing substance abuse, and building resilience among our youth. 

I am passionate about fostering new perspectives and celebrating our community’s traditions. As organizer of TEDxBountiful, I bring together inspiring voices to spark creativity and action in our city. With my husband Matt, I also serve as parade chair for the Handcart Days Parade, a role that allows us to honor pioneer spirit and unite neighbors in celebration.

My priorities for City Council reflect my love for Bountiful and my belief in its potential:

• Preserve the Best of Bountiful: I am dedicated to protecting what makes our city special—welcoming neighborhoods, beautiful environment, and strong local traditions. 

• Resource Responsibility: I support careful management of water, land, and energy. I want to keep the tax burden low, while maintaining the services our community has come to expect and enjoy. 

• Community Resiliency: We are strongest when we support one another. I’ll continue to help build programs and partnerships that keep our community healthy, connected, and prepared to face challenges together.

• Economic Vibrancy:  I support smart development, strong local businesses, and investments in infrastructure to ensure Bountiful remains a great place for families and businesses.

My decision to run to continue serving on the Bountiful City Council is rooted in a passion for service and a commitment to calm, collaborative, transparent leadership.

I’m inspired every day by neighbors, educators, volunteers, businesses, and families who make this city exceptional. With your support, I’ll continue working to ensure Bountiful remains a place where families flourish, traditions are honored, and new ideas are welcomed. I believe that together, we can preserve the best of Bountiful while embracing opportunities ahead.
